Visitors from the Kosovo Police Service School Vushtrri at the University of Applied Police Sciences of the Brandenburg State.
Vushtrri is the traditional site of police training in Kosovo. The ERASMUS+programme enables the exchange of scholars of different academic institutions across Europe. It enables academic partners to benefit by learning from each other. Our University of Applied Police Sciences of the Brandenburg State hosted a seminar on „Behaviour in extreme situations“ between 15 May and 20 May 2017. Fifteen staff members of the Faculty of Public Safety in Vushtrri attended this seminar.
After the seminar, the police trainers from Kosovo were deeply impressed by the wide range of the topic „Behaviour in extreme situations“ and its complexity. They were particularly interested in learning how to deal with stressful events, about leadership under pressure, and how to deal with the behaviour of people in an extreme situation. It also included information on PTSD. The explanation of the topics oriented closely on practices and possible actions in these situations. This was highly appreciated by the guests from Kosovo. Many questions were asked and answered. The seminar can be called a real success.
